Homeschool · Read by a person
A teacher reads the work, not a scoring bot
AP courses come with the College Board's own published rubrics, so a machine can mark them against a fixed standard and be right. Homeschool writing has no such rubric, and marking it as though it did would be pretending to a precision that does not exist. So every writing task on the homeschool track goes to a real teacher, who reads what your student actually argued and replies in their own words.
- Feedback on the work itself. Photograph a handwritten page or upload a document. What comes back is a response to the argument your student made, not a score out of five and a generic suggestion.
- Ask a real question. If the work raised something the course did not settle, ask it. The answer comes from the person who read the work, not from a help center.
- An honest route into tutoring. If a proper answer would take an hour rather than a paragraph, the teacher will tell you that and point you at a session, instead of padding the feedback and leaving the real problem in place.
- Troubleshooting. Stuck on a unit, unable to run a lab at home, or unsure how something records on a transcript? Same channel, same people.
The first review of every writing task is free. There are 78 writing tasks across the homeschool track, so a student can have 78 pieces of work read and answered at no cost. Each further review of the same task, including a revised draft after feedback, is $1.
